04:35 PM EDT, 05/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Principal Financial Group ( PFG ) said late Tuesday it appointed Joel Pitz as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately.

Pitz previously served as senior vice president and controller before becoming interim CFO in August 2024.

He succeeds Deanna Strable, who was named president and chief executive officer in January, the company said.
