07:58 AM EDT, 08/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Probe Gold ( PROBF ) said on Tuesday that it advanced the permitting process for the Novador project in Quebec.

The company said it submitted a "project notice" at the Quebec provincial level after previously filing an "initial project description" and "detailed project description" with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada at the federal level.

"We have now officially commenced the permitting process at both the federal and provincial levels, marking a significant milestone for the Novador project," President and CEO David Palmer said. "We eagerly await guidelines from both governments and look forward to working closely with our stakeholders and government regulators as we navigate the environmental permitting process."

The company expects to receive both the federal and provincial guidelines for the project's environmental impact statement/assessment by the end of the month.
