08:18 AM EDT, 09/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Probe Gold ( PROBF ) on Wednesday said it is ready to begin working on an environmental impact assessment (EIA) for its Novador gold project in Quebec after receiving detailed guidance on the required elements in the report from the federal and provincial governments.
The company said it consulted with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) as well as Quebec's Ministry of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks that outlined the required elements for the EIA filing.
"The next step in the permitting process is to initiate the impact study, which IAAC will use, along with other collected information, to create an impact assessment report," the company said. At the provincial level, the impact study will have all necessary information for the environmental review and government decisions."
Probe shares closed up $0.04 to $1.73 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
