Probe Gold Says Soil Sampling at La Peltrie Project in Quebec Identifies and Extends Potential Deposit
Dec 10, 2024 5:57 AM

08:31 AM EST, 12/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Probe Gold ( PROBF ) on Tuesday said a sampling program on the La Peltrie Project in Quebec that it is optioning from Midland Exploration ( MIDLF ) identified and extended copper, gold, silver and molybdenum mineralization.

A program that took 786 soil samples delineated the main deposit on the property, with eight samples showing copper values above 10,000 parts per billion and one showing 31,100 parts per billion, the company said.

"The soil program has been very successful in not only delineating the copper-gold discovery, but also demonstrating the potential for a very extensive system of mineralization and possible enrichment to the west. We are now preparing for our 2025 programs, which will see an expansion of the soil program, follow-up geophysics and drilling to test the new targets we are generating," Chief Executive David Palmer said in a release.

The company is planning a IP geophysical survey to identify exploration targets as it plans its 2025 drilling program on the property.

Probe shares closed unchanged at $1.56 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
