Profound Medical Expects "Record" Q3 Preliminary Revenue

08:31 AM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Profound Medical ( PROF ) , up 2.8% in U.S. pre-market trading, said Tuesday it expects to report record preliminary revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30.

The company expects total third-quarter revenue to be about US$5.2 million to $5.3 million, a jump of between 84% and 87% over the $2.8 million in the prior year period. Gross margin is expected to be 72%, compared with 64% last year.

"During the third quarter, we achieved new highs in terms of both TULSA-PRO installed base growth and existing system utilization, driving record total revenues," said chief executive Arun Menawat.

"Our TULSA-PRO installed base now sits at 67 - up from 60 - and, due to our strong and growing capital sales pipeline, we continue to expect to reach at least 75 by the end of the year."

Profound Medical ( PROF ) reports its third-quarter results after market-close on Nov. 13.

The company's shares are up $0.22, to $6, in U.S. pre-market trade.
