One analyst polled by Capital IQ expected earnings of $0.17.

Total investment income for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $196.3 million, down from $236.2 million a year earlier.

One analyst surveyed by Capital IQ expected $202.3 million.

Prospect Capital's ( PSEC ) shares were about 5% lower in recent premarket activity.
