06:56 AM EDT, 10/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Prospera Energy ( GXRFF ) Thursday said it has launched a major pipeline replacement and infrastructure upgrade project, with a total investment of $500,000.
The project involves the replacement of two key legacy pipelines in the Cuthbert area in Saskatchewan over a 10-day construction period. It will be constructed using corrosion-resistant and spoolable material, allowing Prospera to more effectively manage water injection and maintain optimal reservoir pressure.
The company said the upgrade enhances system integrity, improves leak detection and ensures long-term operational reliability.
The project is expected to increase waterflood injection capacity by about 2,500 to 3,500 cubic meters per day, expanding from the current 3,200 m3 per day. A third water injection pump will also be installed at the Cuthbert 2-2 battery.
These upgrades are expected to add about 150 barrels of oil per day in incremental production once stabilized over a two-to-four-week ramp-up period.
