SANTIAGO, Jan 23 (Reuters) - A protest by striking

contract workers has ‌disrupted access ​roads to Chile's ‍Escondida

and Zaldivar ⁠copper ⁠mines, union sources ‌told Reuters ​on Friday.

The workers, who ⁠are ‍employed ​by contractor Finning and have

been on ‍strike since the beginning of the month, have ​launched

intermittent ‍blocks in the La Negra ​industrial sector and the

road leading to the BHP and Antofagasta ( ANFGF ) ​Minerals deposits.
