Putin gives Renaissance Capital permission to buy Citibank's Russian operations

MOSCOW, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir

Putin on Wednesday gave permission for Renaissance Capital to

buy the Russian operations of Citibank, according to a decree

published on a Russian government website.

Citibank announced in August 2022 that, as part of its

continued efforts to reduce its operations and exposure in

Russia, it would wind down its consumer banking and local

commercial banking operations.
