Putin spoke to Rosneft's Sechin last week, state media says
Nov 16, 2025 3:47 AM

MOSCOW, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir

Putin had a conversation with Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin last week

during a visit by Kazakhstan's president to Moscow, state media

reported on Sunday.

Sechin, who once worked alongside Putin in the former

imperial capital of St Petersburg and later under the president

in the Kremlin, has run Rosneft since 2012.

U.S. President Donald Trump last month imposed

Ukraine-related sanctions on Russia for the first time in his

second term, targeting Rosneft and Lukoil.
