Olympic silver medallist, Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, bagged silver in the women's singles badminton final in the ongoing Asian Games 2018, after losing 13-21, 16-21 against world no. 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei.
Sindhu has not beaten Tai Tzu in their last five matches and Ying enjoys an overall 9-3 dominance over the Indian shuttler. However, Sindhu did manage to defeat her at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
In the earlier match, Sindhu defeated Japanese world no 2 Akane Yamaguchi 21-17, 15-21, 21-10.
