08:11 AM EDT, 07/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Q32 Bio ( QTTB ) said Monday its investigative treatment bempikibart achieved a 35.3% mean decrease in scalp hair loss severity from baseline measurements after 36 weeks in part B of a phase 2a clinical trial in patients with severe or very severe alopecia areata.

The primary efficacy analysis also showed 40% of the modified trial population recovered 80% of their scalp hair after 36 weeks, and the drug maintained a well-tolerated safety profile consistent with prior evaluations with no new adverse effects, the company said.

Q32 Bio ( QTTB ) said it plans to take bempikibart into a registration-directed development program during H1 of 2027.

Shares of the company were up more than 75% in Monday premarket activity.
