05:12 PM EDT, 03/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Qiagen ( QGEN ) said late Monday it has launched a partnership with US-based non-profit International Panel Physicians Association to raise awareness on tuberculosis screening requirements.

The company said the move comes after the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidelines for tuberculosis screening requirements for immigrants to the US.

Qiagen ( QGEN ) said it's promoting the use of Interferon Gamma Release Assay, or IGRA testing -- such as the company's QuantiFERON-TB Plus product, for a safe immigration process.
