06:20 AM EDT, 09/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Qualcomm ( QCOM ) and BMW said Friday they have launched a new automated driving system built on Qualcomm ( QCOM ) microchips and a software stack developed by both companies.
Snapdragon Ride Pilot includes automated driving levels ranging from entry-level new car assessments to highway and urban navigation on autopilot capabilities, the companies said.
The technology will be installed first in BMW's iX3 model and has been validated for use in more than 60 countries, with more than 100 countries expected next year, the companies said.
The companies said Snapdragon Ride Pilot is now also available to all automakers and automotive suppliers through Qualcomm ( QCOM ).
