03:21 PM EDT, 06/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Qualcomm ( QCOM ) shares fell 5.7% in recent trading Thursday, a day after The Wall Street Journal reported an artificial-intelligence laptop powered by the company's processor had trouble running some applications.
Some Adobe (ADBE) software, as well as popular video games including League of Legends and Fortnite, were found to be incompatible with Samsung's recently released Galaxy Book 4 Edge which comes with Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Snapdragon and a version of Microsoft's ( MSFT ) Windows 11 that is based on technology from UK-based Arm Holdings ( ARM ) , the WSJ reported.
Samsung attributed the incompatibility to Windows 11 Arm and the Qualcomm ( QCOM ) processor, according to a notice on its Korean-language product site, the WSJ said.
Qualcomm ( QCOM ), Samsung, Microsoft ( MSFT ) and Arm did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
Arm shares tumbled 9%, Microsoft ( MSFT ) shares fell 0.4%, and Adobe eased 0.1%.
