09:03 AM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Qualcomm ( QCOM ) -backed artificial intelligence company Kneron said Wednesday that it has launched a new Edge AI server and an AI-embedded PC.

The KNEO 330 is the company's second private Edge GPT server, following the KNEO 300, which was launched last year, according to Kneron. This new server reduces the overall cost of AI for small businesses by 30% to 40%, Kneron added.

The company's AI-embedded PC includes its third-generation neural processing unit chip, the KL830. Kneron said that when combined with a leading graphics processing unit, the KL830 saved 30% on energy use and extended product lifetime.

Kneron is also backed by Horizons Ventures, Sequoia, and Foxconn, among others.
