08:47 AM EDT, 05/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) deadline to make a firm offer for Alphawave has been further extended to May 27, Alphawave said Monday.

The revised deadline, approved by the UK Takeover Panel, now gives Qualcomm ( QCOM ) until 5 PM London time on May 27 to either announce a formal bid or end pursuit, the company said.

Qualcomm ( QCOM ) announced that it was considering an offer for Alphawave on April 1 and was given an April 29 deadline to submit a bid. The deadline was first extended to May 12, Alphawave said.

Discussions between the companies continue and there is no assurance that a firm offer will be submitted, Alphawave added.

Shares of Qualcomm ( QCOM ) were up more than 6% in recent Monday premarket activity.
