08:01 AM EDT, 09/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Quanta Services ( PWR ) has made a strategic equity investment in Hybar, according to Hybar on Wednesday.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Hybar said it is building a scrap metal recycling steel rebar mill in northeast Arkansas, which is expected to start operations in less than a year and will be powered by an adjacent 105 megawatt solar field and battery storage facility.

Quanta's investment in Hybar is in line with its goal to ensure cost-effective and sustainable supply of materials for its projects, Quanta Chief Operating Officer Redgie Probst said in the statement.
