10:58 AM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- QuidelOrtho ( QDEL ) said Tuesday that its QuickVue COVID-19 test has received 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration.

The clearance allows the test to be used in home and medical facility settings with CLIA certificates of waiver, the company said.

QuidelOrtho ( QDEL ) shares were down more than 8% in recent trading.
