11:59 AM EST, 11/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rackspace Technology ( RXT ) said Monday that it is expanding Rackspace Spot to include a new location and an on-demand graphics processing unit, or GPU-as-a-Service backed by NVIDIA ( NVDA ) .

The Rackspace Spot GPU-enabled platform is now hosted in the new Rackspace SJC3 data center in Silicon Valley, the company said.

The advanced GPU service allows customers to use NVIDIA ( NVDA )-accelerated computing to speed up complex tasks like artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics.

Shares of Rackspace Technology ( RXT ) rose more than 7% recently, while NVIDIA ( NVDA ) added over 1%.
