RB Global Says Sold C$224-plus Million of Heavy Equipment Assets and Vehicles at Canadian Auction Event
May 26, 2025 5:06 AM

09:19 AM EDT, 05/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RB Global ( RBA ) , a global marketplace for commercial assets and vehicles, on Friday announced that it sold over 11,000 equipment items, trucks and vehicles at its Canadian auction event in Edmonton, Alberta, last week, generating nearly C$225 million in gross transaction value.

The company said that the five-day online and onsite auction, from April 29 to May 3, attracted more than 18,000 bidders from more than 50 countries, with around 94% of the equipment selling to Canadians, including 62% purchased by Albertans. The remaining 6% was bought by international buyers from countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Peru and the Netherlands.

"In the face of ongoing market uncertainty, Ritchie Bros. once again delivered strong buyer demand on a huge selection of late-model, low-hour equipment," said Ritchie Bros' President of North American Sales Jake Lawson. "It is with tremendous pride that we get to host this event every year and we would like to thank the 1,700+ consignors and 4,300+ buyers that contributed to making the 2025 version of it a success."
