01:35 PM EDT, 05/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CCL Industries' presentation at the RBC Industrials Conference saw management note that trends in the second quarter to-date remain generally supportive across the business.
On tariffs, management reiterated that the primary exposure lies within Avery/Checkpoint businesses which rely on product sourced from China, though the latest developments with U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods are a positive (the ultimate tariff impact is now expected to be relatively minor).
RFID was also topical, with management noting that CCL is not meaningfully impacted by the broader tariff-related disruptions given the company's geographic exposure is primarily to Europe & Asia Pacific. Lastly, on capital allocation, management said buybacks are likely to remain in focus going forward. RBC expects M&A to be more opportunistic.
