RBC on Thomson Reuters' Proposed Findlaw Sale
Oct 5, 2024 9:20 AM

01:33 PM EDT, 10/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Thomson Reuters ( TRI ) announced an agreement to sell Findlaw to online media and internet services company, Internet Brands. Financial details were not disclosed.

RBC's Drew McReynolds believes the sale is "fully consistent" with management's increased focus on its priorities across the Big 3 segments. "While financially, Findlaw is not overly material, we expect the divestiture to be accretive to the organic revenue growth profile of +7%-8% for the segment by 2026." McReynolds would not be surprised to see additional non-core asset sales through the medium term as the asset mix is further optimized.

Thomson Reuters ( TRI ) is rated Sector Perform, with a US$168 target.

Price: 226.98, Change: -1.97, Percent Change: -0.86
