07:20 AM EDT, 08/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RBC said it expects Canadian goods exports dipped 0.4% m/m in June and imports dropped by a slightly bigger 0.6% m/m to leave the trade deficit narrower at C$1.7 billion this week.
Canada will release the international merchandise trade data for June on Tuesday, at 8:30 a.m. ET.
Details should show a decline in motor vehicle shipments, stated the bank. That, coupled with a drop in oil prices, are expected to have contributed to the slowdown in trade flows.
