10:58 AM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Realbotix ( XBOTF ) , a maker of humanoid robots, was at last look look on Monday up 15% after it announced that it has partnered with Compass UOL, a company in digital transformation services, and secured a $100,000 subsidy from Amazon Web Services (AWS). The subsidy, expected to be received in the first quarter of 2025, will directly support the completion of key initiatives, including the development of Robot Controller 3.0. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter of next year.
"We expect that the Amazon subsidy and our partnership with Compass UOL will enable Realbotix's ( XBOTF ) next iteration of its unique social and companionship AI to come to market faster," said Andrew Kiguel, CEO of Realbotix ( XBOTF ). "This project will provide a significant leap forward for our AI powered humanoid robots."
The company also confirmed that ARIA, its AI-powered humanoid, and which uses its AI technology and ChatGPT-4, will be used to perform certain functions for the board, including market analysis, risk management, supply chain and product development. Its role would be confined to being a supportive one.
The company's shares was last seen up $0.025, to $0.19, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
