Realme 5i India launch today: Expected price, features

Chinese smartphone maker Realme is all set to launch its latest model Realme 5i in India today. In addition to the smartphone, the company is expected to launch three surprises.

The launch comes as the Chinese firm, whose shipments to India grew nearly four-fold between Q3 2018 and Q3 2019, is looking to double its global smartphone shipments in 2020 to five crore.

The launch event will be live-streamed by the company across all its social media platforms.

Features and specifications

Launched earlier in Vietnam, the smartphone is an updated variant of the Realme 5 model. The model comes with a Sunrise design and 6.5-inch HD+ LCD with a water-drop notch on top. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC it has a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that can be expanded up to 256GB. It also features a 5,000 mAh battery along with a 10W charging brick.

On the camera front, the device comes with a 12MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP portrait camera for depth effects, and a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone will also feature an 8MP camera on the front.

The model comes in both green and blue colours and is expected to cost approximately Rs 11,500.
