04:56 PM EDT, 03/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Reddit (RDDT) is the target of a nonpublic inquiry by the US Federal Trade Commission that will focus on the sale, licensing, or sharing of user-generated content with third parties to train AI models, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday.
The company said it does not believe it engaged in any unfair or deceptive trade practice.
The commission is interested in meeting with Reddit regarding its plans and the regulator intends to request information and documents as the inquiry proceeds, according to the company.
