01:23 PM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Reddit ( RDDT ) shares debuted on the New York Stock Exchange Thursday at $47, well above their initial public offering price of $34 per share.

Shares were up 67% at $56.62 in recent afternoon trading.

Reddit ( RDDT ) said in a regulartory filing it was offering 22 million shares. Of those, the company said it would sell 15.3 million shares and another 6.7 million would be offered by certain selling stockholders.

The company said in the filing it has more than 100,000 active communities and average 73 million unique users daily.
