08:08 AM EDT, 09/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Redwire ( RDW ) said Thursday it has opened a new rapid capabilities facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico to advance the development of space-based defense systems.

The company said that its new Firestone facility will support a wide range of capabilities for space, missile defense and other warfighting domains.

The site will also support work under its $45 million, five-year contract with Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate to design, develop, and test prototype software and hardware for mission critical technologies, the company said.
