Redwire Unveils Very Low Earth Orbit Spacecraft Platform Project in Europe

11:50 AM EDT, 05/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Redwire ( RDW ) said Monday it is developing Phantom, a spacecraft platform designed to operate in Very Low Earth Orbit, or VLEO, at its Belgium facility.

Phantom, which will be the European counterpart of Redwire's ( RDW ) American-built VLEO spacecraft platform SabreSat, is designed to carry out a wide array of intelligence, Earth science, and communications missions, the space infrastructure company said.

Redwire ( RDW ) said it will advance Phantom's development through the European Space Agency's Skimsat mission, which it is carrying out together with Thales Alenia Space in the UK.

Redwire ( RDW ) shares were advancing by 6.6% in recent trading.
