08:47 AM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Reinsurance Group of America ( RGA ) said Wednesday it expects to appoint Axel Andre as chief financial officer, starting August 5.

Andre will succeed Larson, who will transition into the role of special advisor to the CEO until his retirement on Dec. 31, according to the company.

Andre will join the company as executive vice president on June 24 from American Equity Investment Life Insurance, where he served as CFO since 2021, Reinsurance Group said.

The company's shares were down 2% in recent premarket activity.
