08:40 AM EDT, 06/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rekor Systems ( REKR ) said Friday it signed a one-year contract valued at $1.2 million to provide 150 AI-powered traffic monitoring units to a transportation agency in a Sun Belt state.

The company said it expects to install all Rekor Discover systems within 60 days under its data subscription model.

The systems use roadside sensors and artificial intelligence to collect vehicle data, replacing older in-road equipment, Rekor ( REKR ) said.

The company's shares were up more than 12% in recent Friday premarket activity.
