01:10 PM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rekor Systems ( REKR ) said Tuesday it won a multiyear statewide contract from the Texas Department of Transportation to deploy its incident management and situational awareness platform, Rekor Command.

The contract includes a blanket purchase order valued in the eight figures, enabling deployment across the agency's metropolitan, urban, and rural districts. The platform aims to improve traffic operations, enhance roadway safety, and reduce congestion throughout Texas, which operates the largest state-maintained highway network in the US.

Shares of Rekor Systems ( REKR ) jumped nearly 33% in recent trading.
