Reliance Jio, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries' telecom arm, has commercially launched JioFiber, on the third anniversary of the Jio. The much-talked-about fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service has already received 5 lakh applications. JioFiber’s data speed will start from 100 Mbps and go all the way up to 1 Gbps. The press releases says that voice, TV video calling, gaming, home networking & device security services are bundled with all data plans. Moreover, platform access for VR experience and premium content (including first day first show movies) will be only for Diamond, Platinum & Titanium plans.

All monthly plans come with home devices (Jio Home Gateway & Jio 4K Set Top Box). JioFiber users will also have access to 3, 6 and 12 month plans.

Reliance Jio is planning to reach 20 million residences and 15 million business establishments across the initial 1,600 towns, to offer affordable television services, gaming, mixed reality and fixed-line voice calling access
