Renaissance Acquires Insurance Services of the West, LLC to Enhance Resources for Independent Insurance Agencies
Oct 14, 2025 9:20 AM

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Renaissance, the premier network of independent insurance agencies, has acquired the agency network business of Insurance Services of the West, LLC, doing business as Insurance Agency Network (IAN). Based in Washington, IAN is a membership organization with over 70 members representing $400M in premium. Their emphasis is supporting independent insurance agencies in expanding their operations through enhanced carrier access, agency management tools, technology solutions, and a collaborative peer community.

This strategic acquisition gives IAN members the opportunity to leverage the same benefits that help Renaissance’s members improve their agency efficiency, drive revenue, and increase their profitability.

Renaissance’s offerings include expanded market access, placement services, revenue-generating technology platforms, and growth-oriented service resources tailored for independent agencies.

“This acquisition expands Renaissance’s national footprint while strengthening the newly combined community,” said Robert Bondi, Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance. “We are excited to deliver our products and services to more agencies seeking consistent, reliable growth.”

Michael Haller, Chief Administration Officer of IAN, commented, “Renaissance provides our members with additional carrier/market access and increased profit share/enhanced compensation opportunities to expand their offerings and support their continued growth. We are confident that this partnership will deliver significant value to the IAN network members.”

Craig Phair, Chief Operating Officer of IAN, added, “Renaissance aligns with IAN’s mission to foster a community of thriving, profitable agencies. Their platform empowers members to leverage premium volume and navigate the Independent Agent Road with confidence.”

IAN is the fifth agency network to join Renaissance since 2023. This transaction extends Renaissance’s reach into 12 additional states and reinforces its strategy of partnering with like-minded networks to offer expanded resources and support to their members.
