Renasant Q3 Adjusted Earnings Fall, Revenue Rises; Shareholders Approve First Bancshares Deal

05:35 PM EDT, 10/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Renasant ( RNST ) reported Q3 adjusted earnings late Tuesday of $0.70 per diluted share, down from $0.74 per share a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.63.

Revenue, expressed as the sum of net interest income and total noninterest income, for the quarter ended Sept. 30 to rose to $220.9 million from $168.3 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $167.3 million.

The company said its board has approved a $100 million stock repurchase plan, replacing its $100 million buyback program that has expired.

Renasant ( RNST ) also said the shareholders of the company and First Bancshares (FBMS) have approved the companies' planned merger.

Renasant ( RNST ) expects to completing the deal in H1 2025, Chief Executive C. Mitchell Waycaster said.
