ReNew Energy Global Signs Renewable Energy Contract With Microsoft

08:18 AM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ReNew Energy Global ( RNW ) said Tuesday it has signed a 437.6 megawatts sale agreement with Microsoft ( MSFT ) to produce more than one million units of green electricity attributes per year.

The agreement will contribute to Microsoft's ( MSFT ) plan to be carbon-negative by 2030, the renewable energy firm said.

ReNew will use approximately $15 million of revenue from the contract for a community fund on women's livelihoods and rural electrification, the company said.
