Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Hold Opinion On Shares Of Lumen Technologies, Inc.
Aug 4, 2025 5:31 PM

08:05 PM EDT, 08/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We trim our 12-month target price by $0.50 to $4.50, applying an EV/EBITDA multiple of 6.2x our 2026 estimate, a discount to peers, reflecting our slow growth outlook and concerns over the sale of its fiber business. We move our 2025 loss per share (LPS) estimate to -$0.66 from -$0.96 and 2026's LPS to -$0.65 from -$0.78. Lumen Technologies ( LUMN ) is selling its consumer fiber-to-the-home business as part of a strategic shift to focus on its core enterprise capabilities and to strengthen its financial position. The sale to AT&T for $5.75 billion is intended to provide strategic clarity and a path to financial freedom for the company. The transaction allows Lumen to invest more in its enterprise customer capabilities, which are seen as instrumental in powering the company's return to revenue growth. While the improvement to the balance sheet will be a plus, we believe selling its fiber assets will seriously impact future growth potential.
