02:47 PM EDT, 07/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rhythm Pharmaceuticals ( RYTM ) said Monday it appointed Alastair Garfield as chief scientific officer, effective July 1.

Garfield most recently served as senior vice president and head of translational sciences and strategy at Rectify Pharma, Rhythm said.

Shares of Rhythm were up 2.6% in recent trading.
