Rigetti Computing Shares Rise After Launch of New Quantum Computer

12:22 PM EST, 12/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rigetti Computing ( RGTI ) shares rose by more than 4% in midday trading following the launch of the company's new quantum computer.

Rigetti on Monday announced the public launch of the 84-qubit Ankaa-3 system, its newest flagship quantum computer capable of achieving a median 99.0% iSWAP gate fidelity, as well as demonstrating 99.5% median fidelity fSim gates.

The computer is available to the company's partners via the Rigetti Quantum Cloud Services platform and is due to come to Amazon Bracket and Microsoft Azure in Q1 next year, the company said.

"Users will be able to operate these higher fidelity and universal iSWAP gates for a wide range of algorithmic research, with a median gate time of 72 nanoseconds," the company said.
