Rio Tinto Investing $1.2 Billion to Update Hydroelectric Power Plant in Quebec

02:02 PM EDT, 05/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rio Tinto (RIO) said Thursday it is investing 1.7 billion Canadian dollars ($1.2 billion) to modernize its hydroelectric power plant in Alma, Quebec.

The modernization project will run until 2032, Rio Tinto said.
