12:23 PM EDT, 07/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rivian Automotive ( RIVN ) said Tuesday it is launching a software update that integrates Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google Maps into its electric vehicles.

The new maps will consolidate Rivian's navigation system with Google Map functionality such as estimated time of arrival, traffic updates, place information, and satellite imagery, the company said.

The software update will begin to roll out Tuesday in Rivian vehicles, Google ( GOOG ) said in a blog post.

Shares of Rivian and Google ( GOOG ) were up 1% and 0.6%, respectively, in recent trading.
