01:08 PM EDT, 03/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rivian Automotive ( RIVN ) said Monday owners of its electric vehicles can now access more than 15,000 compatible Tesla Superchargers across North America.

The company said it will begin shipping to Rivian owners next month the North American Charging Standard adapters required at the Supercharger stations. By next year, it said it will start shipping vehicles with new, fully integrated NACS hardware.

Rivian also said it is in the initial stage of building out its own network of fast chargers, and will open the network to all EV drivers later this year.

Rivian shares were 2.2% higher in recent trading. Tesla shares rose 5.3%.
