Robinhood Takes Venture Capital Public With New Fund IPO
Mar 11, 2026 6:53 AM

Robinhood Markets Inc ( HOOD ). is taking its venture ambitions public.

Robinhood Ventures Fund I ( RVI ) priced its initial public offering Friday at $25.00 per share. The Menlo Park-based fund is raising $658.4 million in total proceeds.

Shares are expected to begin trading on the NYSE on Friday under the ticker symbol RVI.

What RVI Is — and Who It’s For

RVI is a closed-end fund. It gives retail investors exposure to a concentrated portfolio of private companies.

That’s a notable distinction. Private market access has traditionally been reserved for institutional players. RVI is designed to change that.

The offering includes 12,615,608 common shares of beneficial interest. All shares are being offered by RVI directly.

Overallotment Option Could Push Total to $705.7 Million

The fund has granted its underwriter a 30-day option. That option covers up to 1,892,341 additional common shares.

If exercised in full, the total fund size would reach $705.7 million. All figures are calculated before deducting the sales load and offering expenses.

The offering is expected to close on March 9, subject to customary closing conditions.

HOOD Price Action: Robinhood Markets ( HOOD ) shares were down 4.01% at $77.33 at the time of publication on Friday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
