10:44 AM EDT, 07/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rocket Lab USA ( RKLB ) said Monday it has completed the integration and testing of two spacecraft for the Mars mission scheduled to launch this year.

The company said the two spacecraft, Blue and Gold, were designed and built at its spacecraft production complex for the University of California Berkeley's Space Science Laboratory and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's mission to measure plasma and magnetic fields around Mars.

Rocket Lab said it intends to ship the spacecraft in August to Cape Canaveral, where they will be integrated into Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket.
