04:59 AM EDT, 04/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rocket Lab USA ( RKLB ) said Tuesday it deployed two satellites onto two different orbital paths about 500 km apart from each other on the 47th mission of its Electron rocket.
The "Beginning Of The Swarm" mission lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand and deployed the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology's NEONSAT-1 at a 520 km orbit and NASA's Advanced Composite Solar Sail System at an orbit of 1,000 km.
The mission marked Rocket Lab's fifth launch of the year.
