Mar 19, 2025 1:34 AM

04:01 AM EDT, 03/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rocket Lab USA ( RKLB ) said Tuesday that it has scheduled a March 27 rapid turnaround mission on Electron for OroraTech, a Germany-based provider of wildfire detection and monitoring services.

The mission will lift off from the company's launch complex in New Zealand, the company said.

The rocket will deliver eight thermal infrared camera-equipped OroraTech satellites to a 550-kilometer orbit to expand the company's ability to provide near real-time wildfire data from space, Rocket Lab said.

The mission will be Rocket Lab's fifth mission of 2025 and 63rd Electron launch overall, the company said.
