Rocket Lab to Launch Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency Tech Demo Satellite in December

05:12 PM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rocket Lab ( RKLB ) said Monday it will launch a dedicated Electron mission for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency on Dec. 5 from New Zealand.

The mission, named "RAISE And Shine," will carry JAXA's RAISE-4 satellite to test eight technologies from Japanese private and academic institutions, the company said.

Rocket Lab ( RKLB ) said this is the first of two dedicated Electron launches for JAXA under its Innovative Satellite Technology Demonstration Program.

A second launch under the same program is planned for Q1 2026, the company added.
