Rogers Communications Enters Content Deals With NBCUniversal, Warner Bros. Discovery

11:01 AM EDT, 06/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rogers Communications ( RCIAF ) announced multiyear content deals with Comcast's ( CMCSA ) NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) to bolster offerings in Canada.

NBCUniversal's Bravo channel will be offered in Canada in September, Rogers said Monday in a statement, and the Toronto-based company will become the holder of English-language television content rights in the country.

Warner Bros. Discovery's ( WBD ) English-language US lifestyle and factual brands, including HGTV and the Food Network, will be available in January.

Rogers shares fell 1.4% in recent trading Monday. Comcast ( CMCSA ) dropped 0.7%, and Warner Bros. declined 1.8%.
