07:37 AM EDT, 10/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rogers Communications ( RCIAF ) reported Q3 adjusted earnings Thursday of 1.42 Canadian dollars ($1.03) per diluted share, up from CA$1.27 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected CA$1.34.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was CA$5.13 billion, compared with CA$5.09 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected CA$5.17 billion.

The company said it expects CA$7 billion structured equity financing from a global financial investor. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 and proceeds will be used to pay down debt, the company added.
